Privacy policy

Outfiteame helps you combine the clothes you already own. You can use the wardrobe without an account. The optional account, voluntary Google Drive backups, weather and mailing list use external services in the cases explained here. For any questions about your data, write to info@outfitea.me.
Your wardrobe and photos
Garments, photos, outfits, your local profile, preferences and recent recommendation history are saved in the app’s or browser’s storage. The available photo preparation and cutout tools process images on the device. The app does not automatically upload your wardrobe or photos to Supabase, Google or a remote classification service.
Signing in does not enable wardrobe syncing or backups on our servers. Demo content is kept separate from your personal wardrobe. Exporting prepares a copy of your garments, outfits and photos; you decide where to save or share it. The export does not include your sign-in session.
If you recover changes from a tab running an older version, we keep an additional copy of those changes in the browser, even after you download the ZIP. Clearing site data deletes that copy and your local wardrobe; first save any exports you want to keep.
The app requests camera or photo library access when you use those features. You can manage permissions in your system settings. Deleting a garment from Outfiteame does not delete the original photo kept in your library.
The operating system may include app data in its backups, depending on the platform and your settings. These backups, your exports and original photos are managed outside Outfiteame. Deleting data in the app does not guarantee its removal from those copies.
Voluntary Google Drive backups
In supported versions of Outfiteame for Android and iPhone, you can connect your own Google account and manually back up your garments, photos, outfits and folders. This feature is optional and independent of your Outfiteame online account. Connecting Google Drive does not enable automatic backups or continuous syncing.
Backups are transferred directly between your device and Google Drive and stored in Outfiteame’s private app data space (appDataFolder). We request the drive.appdata permission, which is limited to that space and does not allow access to your other Drive documents. Backups are not published or stored on our servers or in Supabase.
We use the ID and email address of the authorized Google account to show which account is connected and access its backups. Authorization credentials are managed on the device and are not included in the backup file. Google receives and stores the backup and processes connection data in accordance with its privacy policy.
To restore a backup, you must select it and confirm how to add its contents to your local wardrobe: merge them or replace the wardrobe. Creating a new backup does not delete previous ones. Disconnecting Google Drive in Outfiteame, deleting garments or deleting your Outfiteame online account does not delete existing backups either.
You can delete Outfiteame’s data in Google Drive settings, under Manage apps, by following Google’s help on deleting hidden app data. You can also revoke Outfiteame’s permission through the connected apps in your Google account, following these instructions for removing access. Disconnecting your account within Outfiteame does not replace these actions.
Optional account: Supabase and Google
If you create an account by email or choose to continue with Google, Supabase manages authentication: user ID, email, protected credentials or provider identity, and sign-in sessions. Google may provide profile data authorized during sign-in, such as your name and profile image address. These data identify and protect your account; they do not make your wardrobe public or sync it.
Sign-in communications reach Supabase and, if you choose Google, Google. These services receive the technical information needed for the connection, such as your IP address. On mobile, the session is stored using the system’s secure storage; on the web, it is stored in the browser’s local storage. The app does not keep your password in its forms after a successful sign-in operation.
The account is retained for as long as it exists. When you request deletion, the authentication user is deleted and its renewable sessions are revoked. Providers’ operational logs and technical backups may have their own retention cycles; deleting an account does not instantly erase every technical copy. Your Google account is not deleted.
After an account is deleted, we keep a technical marker of its identifier in local storage, without an email address or tokens. It prevents a sign-in or renewal operation already in progress from restoring the session. The marker contains no garments or photos.
Read the information from Supabase and Google. Apple is marked “Coming soon” and does not start sign-in in this version.
Local weather: Open-Meteo
Weather is optional. When you enable it and grant location permission, the app obtains your coordinates to request a forecast from Open-Meteo over HTTPS. Open-Meteo receives latitude and longitude, along with technical connection data such as your IP address. This is not an anonymous request without coordinates.
Outfiteame does not keep coordinates in persistent storage or track location in the background. It saves your weather preference. You can cancel a request or turn weather off in Settings; turning it off prevents new requests but does not withdraw information already sent. Read the Open-Meteo terms and privacy information.
Website and mailing list
The mailing list is separate from your account and wardrobe. If you subscribe on the website, we retain your email address, consent date and source, accepted policy version, subscription status and operational delivery results. The subscription allows us to send a welcome message and manually selected updates.
The public form requires a consent checkbox. The email consent agreement identified as 2026-08-23-email-v1 remains unchanged: this app update does not subscribe you again or extend permission to send advertising. You can withdraw consent through the unsubscribe link in messages or by writing to the contact shown.
The form’s abuse protection uses a temporary HMAC identifier derived from the IP address that expires after 24 hours, without storing the plain IP address in that record. Hosting and email infrastructure may process connection data to operate and protect the service. Messages use HTTPS and SMTP with TLS as appropriate; we do not claim unverified database encryption.
Emails do not include open-tracking pixels or click tracking. The mailing list is not combined with wardrobe garments, photos or recommendations. Deleting the app account does not automatically unsubscribe you from the mailing list, and unsubscribing does not delete your account.
Delete data and exercise your rights
To delete your account, open Profile → Settings → Account → Delete my account and confirm. If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in or need help, use our page for account and data deletion requests.
Deleting your account does not delete locally stored garments, outfits, photos, profile or settings. You can manage them in the app or through your device or browser’s storage controls. Review your exports, system backups and Google Drive backups separately. We do not have remote access to your wardrobe to delete it for you.
You can request access, rectification, erasure, portability or restriction of your data, and withdraw consent or object where applicable, by writing to info@outfitea.me. We will verify your identity proportionately before processing account requests. Do not send passwords, access codes or wardrobe photos. You may also contact the competent data protection authority.
